Amazing Remote Island

Alor, a small island north of West Timor in Eastern Indonesia, is a remote diving hotspot that offers absolute world-class scuba dive sites with coral reefs, big fish & muck diving. The locals have been sustaining a great effort in keeping the reefs healthy and protecting the area from overfishing. Hence, the dive spots are covered with stunning colorful healthy reefs and have abundant diverse marine species. The fact that Alor is in a remote area makes the underwater world a diver’s dream.

Vibrant Dive Sites

Diving in Alor is extraordinary and full of surprises. Water has become a normal migration route for cetaceans. Expect to see some whales or other aquatic mammals passing by. This volcanic island offers you great underwater topography and is great for black sand and muck diving. The reefs and walls are colorful and full of life, even if you need a bit of experience to dive them. You will encounter not only large animals, but also creatures that need to be captured by a macro lens, such as nudibranch, leaf fish, frog fish, clownfish and other exotic macro biotas.

Diverse Inhabitants

The main marine attractions of Alor are the excellent macro life, incredible corals, ethnic biodiversity and schools of fish. Expect to find drop-offs and pinnacles, sloping walls and swim-throughs. Although Alor is well-suited for macro photography, you also have the opportunity to see some large aquatic mammals, such as sunfish, sharks, turtles, mantas, dolphins, and even pilot whales.
