Itineraries

DAY 1

Sorong - Matan Island

Arriving at Sorong, our representatives will be waiting for your arrival and escort you to the ship for boarding. Safety Briefing, Safety DVD, Crew Introduction, Necessary Dive Paperwork, Cabin allocation, and ship orientation will take place before departing the Harbour. You will have some time to familiarize yourself with the vessel and make yourself comfortable as we journey to the first dive site, Matan Island. A check dive will commence to make sure you feel comfortable in the water. The underwater coral reefs on Matan Island are beautiful and unspoiled, with clear visibility. Visitors can dive along the coastline, watching many underwater creatures swim by with grace.

DAY 2

Daram Island - Candy Store, Andiamo, Living Color

Daram Island has become a beach gateway in Raja Ampat Regency, along with so many other beaches. The serene nuance is perfect for lying back and relaxing. Candy Store will offer you its colorful coral garden and diverse marine life. You’ll be able to see large schools of fish, including Barracuda, Fusiliers, and Butterflyfish swim the current together. Andiamo is also a pinnacle dive site with many underwater walls and slopes; its cliffs and steep drop-offs mark its beauty among other dive sites. Wait until you see Living Color, which lives up to its name. It is one of the best dive sites with colorful coral reefs dominating its underwater environment.

DAY 3

Boo Island - Boo Window, Boo West, Boo East, Magic Mountain

Boo Window is a magnificent dive site, famous for its underwater topography and incredible marine biodiversity. It offers large, dramatic windows and a swim-through carved into the reef. Boo West might not be as well-known as Boo Window, but it has some great walls and slopes. It stands out with the impressive canyon that you can swim across. The marine life in Boo West offers creatures such as triggerfish, fusiliers, sweet lips, batfish, green sea turtles, and even black-tip reef sharks. Boo East, the sister site, is known for its vibrant corals and abundant marine life. Not too far from Boo Window, it has colorful reefs and interesting creatures, a great spot for both wide-angle and macro photography. Magic Mountain is almost like an underwater plateau mountain, filled with so many species such as Barracuda, Fusiliers, Surgeonfish, Manta, and several species of sharks such as White Tip Reef Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks and Raja Ampat walking sharks.

DAY 4

Wayilbatan - Gorgonian Passage, Four King, Barracuda Rock, Trekking Love Lagoon

Wayilbatan is famous for its seamounts and limestone outcroppings, which count among Raja’s finest and most diverse dive sites. Gorgonian Passage is famous for its beautiful underwater life, decorated by the vast collection of sea fans (gorgonian) and large corals. It is one of our favorite drift dive sites in the area. Four Kings is also beautiful with its steep, rocky outcrops and coral gardens. It is home to a large variety of soft corals, sponges, and sea fans, which provide shelter for countless creatures. In Barracuda Rock, you’ll be able to spot lots of schooling trevally, swimming side by side in the current. Countless large fish also often find shelter in the area, making it quite a sight for divers. As the vessel arrives in Misool, we’d go for a walk up the stairs toward the Love Lagoon viewpoint. From above, you’ll see a beautiful heart-shaped lagoon surrounded by karst islets with clear blue water, perfect for a photograph.

DAY 5

Farondi - Farondi Cave, Three Sisters, Jellyfish Lake (Snorkeling)

Being located in the heart of Raja Ampat, the Farondi Islands offer a priceless diving experience. These islands have dramatic landscapes such as caves, tunnels, and vibrant coral reefs with soft corals and sponges. Farondi Cave will show you a unique system of underwater caves and passages, covered in colorful soft corals and sponges, along with pygmy seahorses and frogfish. Three Sisters is quite a popular diving site with a unique formation of reef and strong warm currents, which support the teeming underwater life. You’ll be able to observe the small fish creatures and even big mobula rays gliding in the water. The last stop would be the beautiful jellyfish lake, where you can snorkel around thousands of stingless jellyfish that lost their stings from the lack of predators. You are advised not to wear sunscreen because their physiology is sensitive to chemicals.

DAY 6

Piaynemo - My Reef, Melissa Garden, Keruo Channel, Trekking to Viewpoint

The morning brings us to My Reef for the first dive. The dive site is an amazing dive with so much coral and teeming underwater life. Moving on to Melissa Garden, the dive site is beautiful, with coral reef so full of life, with extended areas of colorful coral gardens made out of hard and soft corals coming in many colors and shapes. It is the perfect spot to encounter brightly colored nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, and many anemone fish. Keruo Channel is great for a drift dive, where you can float along past many walls and slopes, helping you cover much ground in a single dive. The marine life starts from angelfish, giant trevally, octopus, to green turtles, black-tip reef sharks, and even manta rays. My Reef dive site is an amazing dive with so much coral and teeming underwater life.

DAY 7

Kawe Island - Eagle Rock, Black Rock, Changgo

Located on the northern side of Raja Ampat, Kawe Island boasts a preserved natural ecosystem, featuring teeming underwater life and stunning beaches. Its waters are filled with rich coral reefs and underwater creatures, from bright-colored reef fish, tiny molluscs, to species endemic to Raja Ampat. Eagle Rock has dramatic underwater topography with its steep slopes and several underwater rock formations. This dive site is known for its massive amounts of fish and large predators, a lovely place for underwater photo hunting. You might encounter schools of giant trevally, snapper, and barracuda, along with countless reef fish such as scorpion fish, pipefish, and butterflyfish. Black Rock is beautiful with its pretty coral formations, plenty of sea anemones, and colorful soft corals along the area. Small fish also gather here and the site is packed with fields of black coral and sea fans in every direction. You might also spot a Wobbegong Shark if you’re lucky! Changgo, on the other hand, is known as a deep reef filled with impressive coral formations. There is a lot of variety of marine life in this area, including schools of barracudas, jacks, sweetlips, and wobbegong sharks too.

DAY 8

Wayag - Two Hump Rock, Whale Rock, Wayag Viewpoint, Shark Watching

Wayag Island is an icon of Raja Ampat. It is beautiful with its pristine beaches and unique karst islands resembling mushrooms. Its underwater life is teeming with life and often shows micro life such as wobbegong sharks, sweetlips, barracudas, tuna, bumphead parrotfish, reef sharks, and even manta rays. Two Hump Rock offers many schools of fish, you might even see tunas swimming by! This dive site has nutrient-rich currents that attract reef sharks, bumphead parrotfish, and many types of macro life. The rocky islet of Whale Rock has a distinctive whale shape when viewed from the south, hence its name. Most dives in Whale Rock are drift dives; you can drift along the gently sloping reef, watching corals and sponges. Wayag Viewpoint will offer you a beautiful, iconic view of Raja Ampat. It is a combination of geological formations, vibrant colors of the waters, and limestone karst islands. Not only that, you will be able to do some shark watching near the beach, seeing them swimming by in the shallow water.

DAY 9

Yanggefo Island - Mayhem, Citrus Ridge, Gam Ridge, Mangroves

Yanggefo, located in the heart of Raja Ampat, is known for its diverse and teeming underwater life. It offers a beautiful diving experience in between its coral gardens, with many underwater creatures from the small nudibranchs to reef sharks, to manta rays. And in the Mayhem dive site, you can find natural walls and slopes rich with soft and hard coral. The strong current there brings an abundance of marine life; you can see sightings of Manta Rays, Fusiliers, Snappers, Batfish, Sweetlips, and even Bumphead Parrotfish. Citrus Ridge can also be a beautiful playground for divers, especially with its teeming reef slope covered with orange and purple soft corals. You can spot many fish schooling in this area, including colorful bommies, wobbegong sharks, sea turtles, and macro life. You’ll also be able to see extensive mangrove forests, a vital part of the ecosystem. They provide habitat for so many diverse wildlife, and are explorable as you kayak, snorkel, or walk around the area.

DAY 10

Arborek & Mansuar Island - Arborek Island, Manta Sandy, Sawandarek Jetty

Arborek gives a mix of sandy bottoms and coral gardens, full of life and colorful. The site is teeming with marine life, while the structure of the jetty provides a shelter for swarms of fish. The site is renowned for its wide variety of small marine life, making it a perfect destination for an underwater exploration. You can find creatures such as giant clams, frogfish, pipefish, snappers, surgeonfish, angelfish, and barracudas. Manta Sandy is an iconic diving and snorkeling site, and is a main cleaning station famous for manta ray sightings. They can be found feeding at the surface or hovering over a cleaning station. Sawandarek Jetty, known for its easy access, is a popular dive site with diverse marine life and beautiful coral reefs. It offers encounters with various fish species, turtles, and even sharks. This site even earned its nickname: “Turtle City” with so many chances to see sea turtles, from the green sea turtle to the hawksbill.

DAY 11

Kri Island - Cape Kri, Cape Mansuar

Kri will be one of the best highlights on the last day with its world-famous underwater diversity, as it holds the record for having the highest number of species in one dive. You can spot small and big reef fish such as snappers, cardinal, fusilier, sweetlips, butterflyfish, along with all kinds of sharks, hawksbill turtles, octopus, and a huge tornado of barracuda. Cape Mansuar is a beautiful highlight for the last dive on the trip. It is covered with big seafans and many species of fish schooling on the point. You can drift along the reef and encounter schools of fish, and even a great amount of macro life.

DAY 12

Sorong - Check Out

Arriving in Sorong, you will have a hearty breakfast before disembarking from the vessel and returning to the harbour. You will be dropped off at the airport by our representatives for your next destination. See you next dive!
