Hatta Island has so many underwater wonders to show. Karang Hatta has a gigantic crescent-shaped reef system, exposed at low tide, and features beautiful coral walls with schooling jacks and fusilier fish. It has immense elephant ear sponges and sea fans along the reef and underwater creatures such as moray eels, octopus, plenty of reef fish, and white-tip reef sharks. On the other side of the area, Tanjung Buton has a rocky slope with pretty strong currents due to its exposed location. There is rich and diverse marine life, with familiar species such as clown fish, parrotfish, and schools of trevally. A night dive will take place, showing the beautiful underwater life after the light goes dark. Total Dive: 3x dives Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Banda Neira is known for its close relation to Indonesia’s spice trading era in the colonial times, and today we will be taking a close look at it! Karang Hatta will open our morning dive with its vibrant coral gardens, filled with hard and soft coral species, creating a kaleidoscope of colors. You can spot the occasional sightings of majestic sea turtles in the crystal clear waters, which would surely make the journey special. On another side of Banda Neira, you will experience a thrilling drift dive site, Pohon Miring (Tilted Tree), with its vibrant coral slopes and natural tunnels that you can swim through. There would be colorful reef fish all over the site, anthias, butterflyfish, and angelfish swimming through the strong currents. Lava Flow diving site is also one of the iconic sites you don’t want to miss; this site was covered with volcanic lava back in the 1980s, destroying some corals before speeding up its growth massively over the decades. The coral reef is rich, healthy, and teeming with life, dominated by large corals, a shelter for so many underwater species. And then, as we explore the island of Banda Neira, we will get to see the historical monuments closely related to the Dutch occupation in Indonesia, with their spice trading business. From historical Fort Belgica, Nassau, to the locals’ houses, they are a reminder of the country’s past. Total Dive: 3x dives Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
